Psalm for our Family in 1982

“Oh God of Love, Creator of Joy,
How richly You bless us.

You took our aloneness and
gave us each Joy.

You gave us each a lover that we might
Travel all the roads of life together:
Where we walk in quietness and peace;
The rushing freeways of life
Where we drive and are driven;
The shadowy, pain-filled roads
Where we meet the unexpected and sad.

Oh God, our God, You are Love.
Re-create us on the roads of life.
Make us more than lovers, companions,
friends. Make us like You .
Might we also be Love.

Oh God of Love, Creator of Joy,
How richly You bless us.
