Prayer for my Family, March 4, 2000
Dear God, I woke up with fear. I come in trust because I have found You
trustworthy. The world grows ever more confusing it seems. What I want
to share with my family is faith not fear, a settled trust in the God of the
Universe, in your unfailing love. I hold up my precious family to you,
placing them all in your arms. If what is being done is unwise, You
can show them. I have not found in the past that You work through my
fear. Fear-based actions have been consistently non-useful, and maybe
sometimes harmful. I surrender this fear to You. I have felt it, recorded
it, now I let it go. If there are questions I need to ask, or anything I
need to express it must come from You and will be based on wisdom,
not fear. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Take my life and my children’s lives.
